Special Meeting at Burns Cottage

22nd September 2018

On 22 September, the Lodge held a meeting in Burns Cottage, RWPGM Bro. William Steel headed a Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire. RWM Bro. Robert O’Neil welcomed a Deputation from the Grand Lodge of Scotland headed by Past Depute Grand Master Bro. Hugh Bryson, accompanied by Grand Treasurer Bro. James Bell. The same warm welcome was given to the Provincial Deputation headed by RWPGM Bro. William Steel and all of the other visitors.

A first degree was conferred on one candidate using the four compartments of the Cottage and Lodges St. David Tarbolton Mauchline No. 133m, St. James (Kilwinning) Tarbolton No. 135, St. John Kilwinning No. 22, and Loudoun Kilwinning Newmilns No. 51 assisted with the Degree which was the idea of PM Harry Jamieson.

After the degree Angus Middleton PM Lodge Royal Arch No. 314 entertained all present in the grounds with a rendering of Tam o' Shanter.

The brethren then retired to the Pavilion where a meal was served followed by several Toasts. Lodge Ayr St. Paul then presented cheques to The National Trust for Scotland, the Grand Lodge of Scotland and the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire.

Regular Meeting, Visit of Lodge Prestwick No. 1060

12th September 2018

On 12th September, RWM Robert O'Neil welcomed a deputation from Lodge Prestwick No. 1060 headed by RWM Alexander Whannel into the Lodge.

RWM Alexander Whannel then conferred a MM Degree on substitute candidate Joseph Doolan.

Visit Lodge Clydesdale No. 556

23rd May 2018

A large deputation from Ayr St. Paul made the annual visit to Lodge Clydesdale No. 556 on Wednesday 23rd May.

RWM Robert O'Neil headed the deputation which was enhanced by Brethren from other Lodges including two RWMs, Thomas Meikle from Lodge Carron 139 and Sandy Balmer  from Lodge St. Christopher No. 1453.

After being welcomed by RWM Thomas Loftus, RWM Robert and his office bearers conferred a MM Degree on one candidate.

On completion of the meeting a pleasant time was spent in harmony.

Regular meeting, Visit of St James Newton-upon-Ayr No. 125, Entered Apprentice

9th May 2018

On 9th May, SPGM Stewart Cruickshank headed a deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire into Lodge Ayr St. Paul, No. 204 where RWM Robert O’Neil extended a warm welcome.

After completion of the Lodge Business, the RWM welcomed a deputation from Lodge St. James Newton upon Ayr, No. 125, headed by RWM Gordon Reid, who along with his office bearers conferred an EA degree on one candidate.

On completion of the degree RWM Robert O’Neil conferred Honorary Membership on IPPGM Robert Little in recognition of his time as a commissioned office bearer in The Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire, especially his term as PGM.

RWM Robert O’Neil then presented SPGM Stewart Cruickshank with a Mallet and Base to mark his selection and commission in The Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire.

11th April 2018

On 11th April, RWM Robert O’Neil welcomed RW PGM William Steel and a deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire into the Lodge..

After completion of the Lodge Business, a Mark degree was conferred on one candidate.

Visit to Lodge Troon Navigation No. 86

1st March 2018

On 1st March, RWM Robert O’Neil headed a deputation from Lodge Ayr St. Paul No. 204 into Lodge Troon Navigation No. 86 where RWM Douglas Lancaster extended a warm welcome.

After the transfer of the Mallet, RWM Robert O’Neil and his Office Bearers conferred a Fellowcraft Degree on one Candidate.

After the close of the lodge, a pleasant time was had by all.

Regular meeting, PGLA Visit, Fellowcraft Degree

14th February 2018

On 14th February, SPGM Stephen McConnachie headed a deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire, into Lodge Ayr St. Paul, for the Annual Visitation. RWM Robert O’Neil welcomed the deputation into the lodge.

After completion of the business, a 2nd degree was conferred on one candidate by the RWM and Office Bearers.

SPGM Stephen McConnachie then carried out the Annual PGLA visitation and granted Lodge 204 a clear minute.

Visit by PGM

10th January 2018

On 10th January, RWPGM Robert Little and a deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire visited the Lodge .

This is the last time that Robert Little will visit the Lodge as PGM.

A Fellowcraft degree was conferred on one stand in candidate, Bro. Colin Ritchie, PM of Lodge Tarbolton (Kil) St.James No. 135.
